I see Buffalo's Harbor also made the list . That one I can agree wholeheartedly on . You can fish from shore , the Bird Island pier or anywhere along the shoreline in the City's limit and catch , Muskies, Bass , Rainbows,  walleye,  crappies , sheepshead, Northern's and even Catfish . Don't need a boat , being the main  point . The Bird Island pier extends for maybe two miles ,going from the Niagara river ,below the Peace Bridge into the Lake itself ,one of the most awesome places to hike and fish .

It occurs to me that certain publications get paid by certain people to print certain things. Maybe we have to look into changing the first amendment so lying is no longer protected, fantasy must be marked as such and bending the truth must be clearly marked.

It would be nice to allow politicians to only speak the truth and every lie would cost them a few 1000 dollars to go into a fund for victims of their lies.

That would shorten the gravy train.

Oh well, on a cold winter's day like this , one can dream.

But who determines who is lying????

At least politicians should have to take an oath to never lie to the public . It might make a difference

Your point is well taken.

More laws that don't work or won't be enforced but on people we don't like? Ain't like that hasn't happened before .

Freedom of speech is just that , say what you will unless it's threatening

Freedom of Speech has many restrictions other than just "threating".  Time, manner and place of that speech is regulated.  i.e. one can't express protest opinions of decisions in front of the Supreme Court building.  Nor can one hold a protest on a highway and claim 1st amendment rights.  Outbursts in a court, regardless of what is said, will end someone up in a lot of trouble.

One also can't cite copyrighted intellectual property.  There's also a thing called libel and slander which could end someone in jail.  There's also fraud and intentional fake advertising which won't hold up under freedom of speech.  There's also "fighting words" which are used to incite criminal action or cause panic. Latter example being yelling out "fire" in a crowded theater.  And of course there are obscenity laws too.  (note: indecent and obscene are two different things)

Determining truth or a lie is an individual thing based upon the individual's experience and who he considers as credible sources.

But back to the subject of this thread - There is some structure off Rochester, however it's not nearly as pronounced as it is off Sandy nor as close to shore as other places along the southern shore. In a way it's good to see the area get some fishing publicity as the city hasn't promoted it for a long time.  On the other hand, there are more than enough "morons" out there.
