I fished Canadice last week and the ice was 4-5".  MY nephew fished the South end up into laker waters of Hemlock and had the same ice thickness as I did on Canadice,

Thanks. I might try it next week, sounds like faily cool weather in the coming weeks.

Hemlock water level was drained way down for the winter. South end is a bit of a hike to even get over water. Both lakes have decent ice. Canadice shore ice is pretty thin in places.

Hemlock is down 10' from normal according to the graph I looked at yesterday.  The dry conditions and water usage in the Late summer and fall caused the draw down.

Tried for lakers but struck out, bounced around from 70 - 12 FOW walked at least 4 miles and drilled solid 8 everywhere.  Tough lake but buddy saved the day landing this rainbow
