Lower Niagara status

For those of you wondering what the condition of the lower Niagara is in, I took a drive down yesterday to get eyes on the water. The good news is the water has cleared (no more mud), and the ice boom in Lewiston is keeping the launch open. The bad news is there are some ice flows in the main river you may have to dodge and the lower stretches all the way around the fort are clogged along the shoreline with ice.
