Fished out of Mexico point yesterday 7-1. Very slow bite for me. Hit one 15” brown shortly after getting set up and then had one short hit. Rest of the day was quiet. Fished a variety of spoons and stick baits off planers and leadcore  in 8-20’. Solo 3 rod spread. Early morning fished west, late morning picked up and fished east of the launch. Found some warmer water with nice color transition but couldn’t get em going.

Surface temperature was between 42-44 degrees.

This was my third trip out of Mexico this year. I’m not a novice, but certainly far from a pro. Covered a lot of water yesterday and fished hard. Saw a couple fish netted on other boats through out the day, but it didn’t appear that anyone was setting the water on fire.

I’ll be back out there when the wind dies down. 13-17’ is a bit much for my 16 footer
