Hey guys and gals, looking to plan a trip to Cayuga at the end of this month for some bass fishing at the northern end of the lake. Does anyone happen to know the water temperature if they been out recently? I usually fish around Frontenac Island.

Compared to the last couple of years the winter definitely was more defined and lasting so assuming the water is colder than prior years.

Any responses would be appreciated, thank you!

just got an update from a buddy on the west side just above Deans Cove.  Water temp at the docks was 42 and water still almost a foot and a half low off summer levels.  This was as of Monday 4/14.    I have been restlessly waiting to see water level rise to get my boat in and on the lift...also have a trip planned for end of the month.  Hope that helps.

Foot in a half low is slightly more than previous years I believe. By the end of the month hopefully it will be elevated to a safe height so you can get on the water without any trouble.

Thank you for the reply, sure does help. If you find out anymore in the next two weeks can you let me know on this thread. It’s greatly appreciated !
