I have been going about 2 MPH using planers, flat lines, and occasional dipsy's.  Anybody have any favorites speeds, and do you adjust based on conditions, water clarity, spoons vs stick baits, etc?  Thanks!

Well pull 1.8-2.5 most of the time. I have buddies who hang in the 2.5-3.0 range. Gotta find what works for your boat and spread.

To me water visibility is one of the bigger factors - clear water never be afraid to throw some speed at them - green water you can pretty much fish at whatever speed you want.  Really really dirty water - slow seems to give them a little more time to find the bait. Over the years that's been our experience.  Our speed can range from 1.8 to 3.1 depending on what baits are in the water, water clarity, and what the fish tell you.
