I'm new to lake Ontario trout fishing. I had good luck in May and early June trolling in 10' of water for browns but things have realy slowed down

tips needed. How deep are the browns and what are they hitting on?

i guess the only real answer is where the fish are.. I have been running most of my sticks so that they down about 5 right now.. but thats just right now... Also in 20' of water a spoons with a 1oz snap weight 50 feet up the line with a 100 ft lead is down about 12 feet....

start with your surface sticks on the out side board... then do to sticks with a little wieght (1/8 - 1/4 oz) closer in.. then the spoons with snap weights on the inside.. of course this is for 6 rods, make sure your leads grown longer than 100 as you go past the spoon.. and as you either take / mark fish adjust accordingly....

and if the rigger bite is hot try flat lining rods off the gunnel parrellel to the water with about a 6 oz. snap weight.. figure you want to be 1.5x farther from the tip with the weight than achieved depth... ex. down 5 feet send about 8 feet out from the tip to the snap weight.. this is only accurate to about 10 feet...

good luck!
