I have 7 Penn 209 reels, 2 ADP47LC's as my wire divers, and recently I picked up 3 Sealine 47LC's

Can I use any of these for leadcore or copper?

Both the Diawas and the Penns will barely hold 100' of copper with a good amount of backing. You could make up short cores for fishing high ie 2, 3, or 4 color cores.

Gambler is right, those reels can't hold enough copper and backing -- the less copper you have on a reel the more backing you need. You will need 300 yards behind 200' but you only need 200 yards behind 600'. If you like the penn 209 you may want to look for some penn senators they are a bit larger and should be good for copper.
