Wellington or Brighton?

First time out on Lake Ontario on Saturday. Thinking of Wellington or Brighton. I have a 17ft deep V with elecric rigs. Any advice would be great as I want to impress my woman with at least one good fish. Any help would be appreciated...depth, tackle and best location. Any pref. between these two areas?

Well, we tried Wellington saturday....nice morning but no fish....Channel 71, nobody had much luck with a few browns and rainbow....weather turned sour about 3pm. Will try again next couple of weeks.

Another newbie question. When I was out there was pretty much constant baitfish in the 25-40ft range. Should I be concentrating on theses areas or just keeping one line up

Generally when I am there I fish deeper than that. Have my best luck running 120 to 130 FOW with lines spread between 75 and 110. Haven't been there yet this year though so things may be different with it being this early in the year etc.
