I started at 7am on the northend. It was overcast with a slight chop. Decided to start with the seth green rig. I used the downriggers for an hour the night before with no action. I set up in 60 FOW using sutton 44s and a Great lakes 44. Within 5 minutes the rod almost jumped out of the holder and the drag was zipping. I adjusted the drag and a fight was on. I removed the top leader and held it in my hand. When I tried to remove the second leader both of them tangled on the main line. I then had to pull in the last 30 ft of the main line by hand. The fish came to the top and I could see spots, a huge Brown. I brought it to the net, weighted and measured it, I took some photos with my phone and released it to fight again. This was my first and only brown from Canandaigua lake in 3 years. It was 9 1/2 LBs 27 inches. I went 1 for 3 for the morning, but still a great day. I have been marking a lot of fish, but no takers.
