Raymarine DS500X

Hello

Do you guys think the Raymarine DS500X is a good unit? Does it have speed and temp as well, Can you see the Thermocline with it? Just trying to figure out a good F/F for my 17 ft Starcraft. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, I just really want something that will give me a good pic of fish

Not sure about the thermocline on the DS500X, my Raymarine C80 has it, but it appears it does have speed and temp.

I used to have the DS 400x a little 4" screen but the picture quality was great. If you put it in manual mode and turn the gain up until the screen is just "snowing" you see nice hooks and should see the thermacline as well. Also manually adjust depth range to around that which you are trolling so screen is showing what you want to fish not the bottom to 250' -300', otherwise the 'cline will be hard to see. I would jig and I could watch my jig fall on the screen and lift up as I jigged.
