what leader to use?

My dad and I are heading out to waneta for musky friday or saturday and i was just wondering what type of leader is the best to use.

i use 80#floro with ball brg swivels and cross lok snaps 8-14"long,a steel leader with good snaps 45# will also do.sometimes i use them as well,will vary with the individual,these are what i prefer.good luck.I`d hookup with ya but i`ll be flyfishing for brookies in the mtns come friday.

agree with Bob totally on the flouro aspect...that's exactly what I use..I make my own. leave on a inch of the tag end to catch the floaters to keep from fouling the lure.

careful friday...it'll likely to be a zoo of pleasure boaters during the day before and day of the actual holiday. gonna try to be out there late thursday through late evening and catch some casting before dark and then troll the middle...i'd go friday if not for the aforementoned holiday. good luck
