Good morning/Good afternoon/Good night.

My name is Navid and I am an avid bass fisherman who will be trying out salmon/deep-water fishing in Lake Ontario FOR THE FIRST TIME!

I Just installed two downriggers on my boat plus a fish finder. I have never been deep-water fishing other than with a charter in the ocean and was wondering if anyone knew of any threads or websites that I could read which would give me a start on the following:

1. Areas to fish on the lake

2. Lure and tackle choices and setup

3. Any other information that would be useful for a Lake Ontario deep-water fishing beginner

Thank you to everyone who can help me and I look forward to hopefully discussing my successes in the near future.

www.attheoak.com.

There is a lot of information on the Oak site. Also keep watching the fishing reports on this site. Where on the lake will you be fishing or what part of the lake are you fishing? There are a lot of knowledable fishermen on this site and depending on what part of the lake you are fishing I would siggest you get some friends together and go on a Charter first.
