minn kota help

I have a minn kota powerdrive and the foot control only turns one way. I checked minn kota online for the nearest dealer and it said Oak orchard :x . Is that really the closest place. It is only about six months old so it is under warranty. Thanks for any help

listen up, do not i repeat do not take it to boats unlimited in utica. they are an authorized service center. i had major problems with them. It came to the point where Minn Kota was pissed at them and sent me a brand new 2007 motor.

Doug,

Check your connection between the foot pedal and the motor, make sure they have good contact. #2 make sure foot pedal is dry.

I had this problem with mine, replaced board in motor, but the problem ended up being the foot pedal connection, work fine now and I have a spare board.
