I am about to replace my steering cable and have been thinking about going with a teleflex NFB system. I've read that it takes a little bit more effort to get the wheel moving initially but that it moves freely after that. People say that its a little annoying while docking or turning frequently. Does anybody have one and an opinion?

Thanks,

Chris

I have this cable on my 21' Lund with 175 HP Yamaha V-6 outboard & a 9.9 Yamaha 4 stroke kicker. The kicker is connected to the big motor while trolling. The NFB system eliminates the torque steer from the big motor completely. You do not have to hold the wheel tightly while on plane. I find the the wheel easy to turn under full power on plane. It is also is no problem steering the kicker either. I have not noticed any issues turning the engine while docking at slow speed. This cable has performed flawlessly for the last 6 years.

I say go for it, you won't be dissapointed.

Good Luck!
