Depth Raider Issue.

I am running a depth raider unit on my boat and as of the last 3 trips out, I am noticing that the speed wheel is hanging up as I lower it? If I raise it give it a spin with my finger it works fine till I raise it again? Is there a lubricant I can use on it or is it possible I something stuck on the shaft? Fleas? Anybody else experiencing this problem.

Note once it is spinning in the water it appears to be accurate based on my gps speed. Or at least very close depending on wind and current.

I'd send it back. That's an issue I haven't heard of from this unit. Maybe the shaft on that wheel got bent or something.
