DIY planer boards

Anyone have plans for a DIY planer boards? I am just starting and just spent all my cash on the boat. Would like to try for a trout or to on the surface.

FD - I've been running the boards MuskyBob put up for a few years now and they work real well. I built three sets for less than what it would cost to buy the manufactured boards.

Made a set of boards in 1990. ...still going strong. Best $20 I ever spent for fishing gear.. Best advise I can give to someone making wood boards, before assembly, coat the boards with boiled lindseed oil. 3 coats, drying well between coats. They will never absorb water. Mine are made from #2 common pine .

we used cedar for ours, i wanted to make sure the angles were cut right so they would track properly, local lumber yard did it with the purchase of the cedar...
