I get the boat back this week with a total rebuild, almost a month out of the water :( Anyways This was the year that i had really gotten back into fishing, and the fleas had just started when the boat blew up. Are they still a problem now? I fish out of the genny and up stoney creek way witch for some reason i never remember them being a problem up there or i was just spring and fall fishing. Im sure there has been lots of posts on what line to use if they are still out there thise time of year, but would swithing to 30lb work? what do i use for a leader then? thanks

I ran 15 Lb this last Saturday & had an issue only once. But I pull & check them every 20 minutes.

Last weekend I took off the 30lb leaders and we were fine. The species of flea is different now they attach but dont stick, a quick flick and they are gone.

We were offshore-- it may be different close to shore.

I agree, fleas 2 weeks ago were brutal, last week they were barely noticeable. I think the "whale snot" fish hook flea season is just about over for the summer.
