Depth Raider

I lost a down rigger weight and the clip that I got with my Depth raider. So I put on another down rigger clip to the line with out the rubber tape. I don't think it is working right . At 100' it reads 72 degrees with surface temp at 79. I have called Kelly labs 3 times now , with no response to my left messages , even an e-mail. Anyone have an idea what is up ? or can help with my problem. ?

I think as long as you are getting a reading it should be as accurate as it was before. I dont think the lack of tape should hurt I do not tape mine and I dont run the factory swivel and all is good as long as I have a signal.
