hey guys, i just was wondering if there was any salmon action in the mexico area going on and what the hot baits were and the depth we should be running the down riggers. if you didnt mind telling some secrets. usually we go ocean fishing but these last few years ive been hearing how fun the salmon were so we set up with downriggers and are headed up tomorrow morning for a few days. so any help or news would be great for this first timer!!! thanks guys and wish you all safe seas and very happy fishing

Head either towards sandy pond or the plant. 100 to 150 fow is a good place to start. If not marking or catching, head out deep. Its been changing on a daily basis, some guys are deep some are not. Flashers/padles with flies. Some spoons too.

good luck

last wknd there were fish from 90-300 fow....most hits were 80-100 down....55 degree water was 105' down

most action seemed to be cut-bait BUT a fair amount on flasher/fly combos

greens and whites seem to be most common used

GOOD LUCK
