ive been looking for any listings for a small temp probe called the gmt40. I can find little to no info about this product, i.e. usefullness, quality. Also the cabelas fishtemp is eluding me in my searches! Im looking to save some cash as ive gone broke up on Lake O several times so far this year but im tired of guessing down temp. I believe ive got speed down pretty well. Should i just save my cash for a moor or hawk or is there an alternative?

Thanks fellas

Just FYI, the GMT40 isn't made anymore, hasn't been for a while now. If you find one, it'll be used.

I second Hank on the Depth Raider, can't go wrong with that unit.

I agree with HANK and Tim. The DR is a good choice for those willing to sacrifice performance to save a buck. The depthraider is a good compromise for casual and occasional use.....and you save the bucks to boot.:yes::yes:

thats the problem he's got no money, and if he did buy one he would probably leave it the gunwale and it 'll fall off on his way home. If iI were him i would just spend it on some natural ice and a new bowling ball  cheers googan
