fishing n0000b has some questions about river fishing

Hi all.

I moved from Germany to Cobourg and I was wondering if you could gimme some ideas...

I am a total beginner of "North American" fishing... I learned the quiet different European way of catching fish...

So I need some ideas to start from..

I prefer worms and river fishing... I know that the Ganny is pretty good in spring and later in the fall.

I also tried misc smaller creeks. Also Ottanabee and shore fishing on Rice lake.

But what about the summer... Or let´s say this weekend? Where would you go?

I read that the salmon moves into the rivers as soon as it cools down in the nights.. When will that happen?

Is there still a good chance to catch some trouts in any river at this time or are they all in Lake Ontario right now?
