SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

Nice day to be on the water. Started out in 250ft. and trolled out to 330ft. The best depths were 260-270ft. and 315ft. Three were over 9lbs and the others were between 2.5lbs and 5.5lbs. Whenever I catch a fish it seems to always be a rainbow. This is my first year fishing on Lake Ontario, any suggestions on how to catch salmon? Is their anything defferent you have to do to catch salmon compared to the rainbows?

I believe the salmon moved out to the states now and all that's left is near shore in 100 feet or closer, you will get some of the smaller fish in the blue zones but no larger fish. I now that temperature plays a large roll and I know that salmon prefer the colder temps around mid 40.
