Forget about Russel station.The power plant is closed and there is not enough of a current there to attract any fish.

It's to bad. Someday we will be telling our grand kids how we use to wade out there in the lake during the winter and spring and the water would feel like a bath tub and how great the fishing was.

Stopped yesterday at Russell, is is true, completely land locked. Its now a pond. Without the outflow from the plant there will be no more fish of any kind at russell, what a shame

With a good rain, there will be fish out front later in the month. Last year there was just a trickle of water and I was catching fish at first light. Be still and silent for the bite only lasts for about 45 min then there gone!

They are going to fire up the old Russel Station Plant again. I have a neighbor who is in local politics who told me this a few months ago. I will try to find out when.

There is an opening (a small trickle) at the mouth however like many have said, After a strong N. wind, it actually builds a wall of zebra muscle shells. I have seen Salmon drive that "trickle" to get up stream a few days ago. They do spawn in that creek.
