Cut bait question

Just wondering if any of you guys use cut bait for salmon any more around the oswego area I was gonna try it this coming weekend but not sure if I should bother. I used to use it years ago and it worked well. What is the best way to rig it, If it still works?

If you are fishing in close, I would use J-plugs.

What color and size j-plugs should I use and how do you rig them?

I would use size 4 or 5's , silver or green.
