CAN ANYONE HELP........I AM TAKING AN 8YR. OLD BOY FIRST TIME FISHING IN N.Y.

I WILL BE STAYING IN OSWEGO FROM SAT UNTIL WEDNS. THIS WEEKEND. WHERE R THE FISH? MY HANDLE IS FSHNWMN AND I WILL BE ON CHANNEL 69 IF ANYONE CAN HELP I COULD USE IT THANKS U

salmon river. there are fish.

There were alot of fish in front of the Salmon river last weekend. 30 - 50 fow was best.

Alot can change in a week but thats probably your best bet. Good luck getting the boy a fish or two. I'll be out this weekend in front of the river so give me a shout on 78 if your around. "Spoonfed"

The Salmon river is loaded with fish from what I am hearing.

I've heard the river in oswego is still slow, but people are getting them off mexico. The Salmon river has definately been red hot, but there was just a big run so it's gonna be different day to day.

If you fish at the dam in Oswego with an 8 year old you may want to consider paying the $10.00 to park on the RT> 481 side and come in from that side of the river so that the youngster will not need to cross the river as it can be tough for little guys!

If you dont get anything fishing , you can take him to the salmon river hatchery , theres a lot of fish there and I know that a 8 year old would love it .

THANKS TO EVERYONE..WEATHER WAS BAD WINDY AND RAINING.WE WENT TO THE HATCHERY, AND SELKIRK PARK AND A FEW OTHER PLACES, HAD A NICE TIME DIDN'T SEE 2 MANY FISH BEING CAUGHT
