Using egg sacks for Salmon

Hi all, whats the specific rig for egg sacks for Salmon..

Sinkers and let egg sack float 12-18" off the bottom? or just float on top and ride the current..?

It depend on how deep the water is that your fishing in but I usually like to put a couple split shot sinkers about 18 inches or so above a egg sac then use some sort of float like a small bobber to keep it suspended about 6 to 12 inches of the bottom. It keeps you from getting tons of snags and I have always got many more strikes that way. Give it a shot and good luck.

I like keeping my sinker 3' - 4' from the sack. I have found I get way more hook ups this way.

depends on current speed your fishing. fast current i run a 2' leader, a slower current i run a 4' leader.
