We got on the water a little after 6 a.m. started south out of meyers and the warm water was gone. We urned north and @ 30' down the temp didn't get above 45 untill we hit T-falls, north of the point we found the warm water. we did a few passes over some baitfish and caught a bow on every pass(4 in the boat, all released) then it shut down. The warm water was moving back in and heading south. There was a down current of almost 2mph at times. This is our first year with a down temp/speed probe, and surface temp/speed. It was almost as fun to watch the temp and down speed over slick lines as it was to catch fish. We are also used to sitting out in the rain on these outings but the canvas top on the old mans trophy was great. we saw a few hardcore guys jigging out there, but in that weather we pretty much had the lake to ourselves. Its hard to belive that 2 days earlier there was 50 degree water down 80' and then it's gone. Thats a lot of water moving. We had a good time, and learned a lot.
