Cottonwood sap removal

My boat is beginning to get a lot of brown/orange sap spots on it from the Cottonwood tree that sits next to it in the marina. Spray 9 seems to break it down, but it works really really really slowly. Is there anything else that I can use to get the nasty little spots off of my gel coat without damaging it?

SOFT SCRUB- that is what most of us use at the marina, but it still is tuff getting off, it hasnt hurt anyones gel coat that i know of ? ... dennis

Billy try (prep all) it,s a cleaner that is used before any paint job and works great even on road tar and works fast

I know walmart and auto zone carry it and it will be in the auto paint section

Try a product called Awsome, you can get it at stores like Dollar General.

It looks like Corona in a plastic bottle, works great.

Tilex, a plastic disposable knife, and a magic eraser (Mr.Clean I think).

Magic eraser works great!! Soft scub will wear out the gel coat.
