dumb question

i have an 86 bayliner soft top trophy with a 305 and a volvo outdrive, question doe is the outdrive head supposed to set below the water line? i have kicker that weighs 105lbs on the back

It sounds like he is saying the top of the outdrive is below the waterline . Don't think it's a bad thing if it is.
