Are you confusing "coffee" or "smoke" colored 7 stranded wire line with copper line? If so, they are two completely different lines...the brown colored wire line is made of steel and is typically run with Dipsy's whereas the copper line which has a much greater line diameter is actually solid copper and is not typically run with a directional diver.

Copper with Dipsy's.

But I did say I don't run wire anymore. But I may get back into it.

Just what I need are more rod and reels. :@

My Dipsy's now are on PP #30.

I use a 6 lb rigger weight with my copper..makes a great thumper setup for 600 ft of water.....UT OH the light bulb just went off im respooling my downriggers with copper ,,,no more reeling in by hand :clap:
