The night bite is definately on. Water temps on the north shore of Oneida are holding around 53. This fish from friday night had a 9 inch silver in his belly and still wanted more.( 26 1/2 inch fish ----9 inch bait?)

Very cool, A walleye will eat something 1/3 the size of it's body. So this proves it. Kinda looks like a rock bass

That is too cool! I am always cutting open the stomach to see what the fish I catch are feeding on, but never seen anything like that in any walleye I ever caught. Great pics

This could open up a cool thread... Whats the coolest thing you ever found in a fishes stomach?

That's the largest fish I've taken from a walleyes stomach. The usual program this time of year is to anchor on a spot at dark , throw a stick bait while I keep one eye on a lighted slip bobber rig with a minnow on it but this changes the size of minnows I'll be using. The larger fish usually come on the slip rig....maybe they are more wary....any thoughts?

Hey Brian, if you can find sucker minnows use them off the slip bobber. 5-6 inch suckers are perfect.

i've been down last 2 nights, the shore bite is really good right now with jigs and rapalas, I'll have to try the slip rig, grew up doing it for Finger lake Salmon and lakers, alot of fun! Great reports, keep em flowing! Have a good one!
