Hot pike bite???conesus

My buddy is up from georgia (former pike hunter from ny) and i`d like to get him on some pike....we will only have time for a few hrs on tuesday and i have`nt been out lately due to family emerg.Like to hit conesus...how is the bite right NOW?Could you guys give me some updates.

Thanks schoolsout...we are in western wayne county,good drive away.We`ll be looking for larger pike with the possibility of 15# +.That would be a heck of a drive for a few hrs.At this time that drive would be tough.

Sorry Sol, havent seen anything on Conesus in the past few days (or anything on the other good pike waters locally for that matter). might consider seneca though too if its not too windy...good luck

I wish I have something to offer however I went out with Rolmops and we did not find pike in Irondequoit Bay last Sunday. Best of luck with your buddy from Ga.

Well we managed to get out there late.Paul suggested I-bay(was his favorite when piking was good there) `cause of time but i elected conesus.Nice afternoon and got results from the south end on the edge off the weed point.I got hit 2x throwing 6" straight wiley(missed both)and paul connected casting 6"jake in perch.Good to get out after a long tough week and get him a fish he so loved before heading south.I think it was the hat...gave it to him b4 heading out.He noted he`d never fished for skies...well i guess a trip up to chautauqua is in order!!!!(him and his are thinking `bout it)

great job man! just got back from illinois bowhunting (sucessful trip, 1 more for my wall) i need to get out fishing. how was it casting w/ the pfd on?
