They arent fishing that deep. Usually the 30-40 range but when you release them they head straight down. Thats my buddy Gregs boat and another guy Jeff C that I know. Cool video

We bottom bounce in Lake Erie for walleye in August with three ounce sinkers and twenty pound braid and worm harnesses. Eighty foot is easy to reach with the braid. No riggers are needed. Usually we set out two dipseys on braid and two bottom bouncers.

Guys at Quinte dont like to fish that deep because its hard to release a walleye that comes from those kinda depths
