Ice on Sodus

Anyone been out this week on Sodus after the heavy snows last weekend that can report on the ice condition?

From the reports on iceshanty the snow is insane and its still coming, I guess slush is now a problem too, guys are ****ing but hey a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work

Yeah, I work in Wolcott, so I know how much snow has fallen! At one point there was close to 3 feet on the ground! Looks like only a few inches today, tonight, and again tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get out tomorrow if the ice is still decent. I don't mind a work-out to burn off some of what I put on over Christmas break!

Just walked in off the ice, and yes there is about 24 inches of snow still on the bay. There also is a few inches of slush on top of the 5 to 6 inches of ice off of Grassy Point. I only fished an hour with no hits and from the guys I ask coming off the ice, it has been slim pickens.

went out of spiegel yesterday. it was a mess. lots of snow over a few of inches of sluch. fishing sucked. i.m.o. the best exercises for tomarrow would be elbow bends while watching the playoffs.
