Niagara River (NY-side) Bait availablility?

Can anyone tell me where we can purchase live bait in the Lewiston-Youngstown area?

Specifically, emerald shiners. Thanks.

Can't buy emeralds right now, none of the bait shops have them. There is Village Pro Hardware in Lewiston, and A1 Bait and Tackle in Niagara Falls.

Slippery Sinker in Olcott did have them the other day... its Ice season most bait places should have Emeralds... Feather and Fur Baitshop in Wilson also reported they had them as well

You need to net your own when you go out. The river has them usually in the slack water area. Better yet, go to Ontario, they have plenty, without the DEC hassle.

During my bait delivery days we use to make a bulk drop to Ron at A-1, Ron would meet us weekly and take several hundred pounds of various baits including mostly shiners, if anybody has any different contact info from below I am sure he could lead you in the right direction.
