Looking for info on this unit. How it rates compared to the Depth Raider etc. I like the idea of not using the cable to transmit, however I'm concerned if the transducer has to be mounted similar to the mount for the sonar.

I do care about how it's mounted. I don't have a hard top and I trailer it under canvas so I need to reduce set up time as much as possible.

Any thoughts on it's performance compared to the depth Raider would be appreciated.

Works great Big easy to read display. Dash unit is easy to hook up when you are setting up. The triducer is mounted on the stern like the fishfinder so you won't have to mess with that at the dock. Has a gain unit so you can crank up the power. Fished the entire fall Loc on the same battaries. No coated cable to fool with.
