Hows the perch bite on I-Bay?

Thinking about grabbing some perch fillets soon, just wondering how good the bite has been? Has there been size to them? A buddy of mine father caught a 15incher.

The ice is still ugly on the south end and only getting worse with the nice weather. The NE corner is producing some fish but they tend to be small. Not a ton of good reports from iron.

We fished the south end on Sunday. There was quite a few guys out there. We only managed a couple small perch. It was pretty slow. The only people I talked to that were getting anything were out the farthest in the deepest water. I watched a guy drill a hole out there. It took him 15 turns on the hand auger and he was through. The ice was only about 4" thich where we were, I can't imagine the thickness out where they were.

I'd say stay off the south end until it gets colder. I punched through walking back about 50 yards from shore.
