Wire line rod

I am in the market for a new wire line rod with roller guides. I have a starfire now that i am not happy with . The line tends to jump out of the groove in the tip roller and makes it impossible to reel . Any one have any favorites ? And where can i buy it ? The Watertown Gander Mountain has one i like , but is is $100 and I hate to spend that much on a rod that is used only once in a while. Thanks for any help.

I have a couple of ugly sticks w/rollers that I like.

I think any rod w/ the good Aftco roller guides is going to be $100+ (the guides alone are $40-50).

that was Mark not Duane,,,,,,,,just get a regular rod and put a twillie tip on it.i put 6 to 7 hundred hours a season on mine and they dont show a bit of wear, and clear the fleas real good ....

Thanks Ray, that was my second idea I have a couple of 9' dipsey rods that I run braided line on. I think I will switch one over to wire . I can use it for both wire dipsey and thumper duty.
