sliver lake

Has anyone fished sliver lake yet this winter. Hows the ice and the bite ? I was thinking about going down and trying it out !

theres never a lack of bluegills on silver

Last I heard is that the ice is fine 6" or more but it rose with the rain and you have to take a big step to get onto good ice from the boat launch area.

I was out sunday and caught a bunch of bluegills, you could watch them then the water was clear, and sight fish the bigger ones. Had out tipups for pike but no takers.

Perch fishing has been nonstop action,but it is tough to get anything over 8in.mostly 5in.Fish east side in 30+ft.Ice held up good 6to10in.Just be careful near the edges.Pike fishing has been good on the ends of the lake,those Little perch make pretty good bait have gotten 10 and 12 pounder in the last couple weeks on 5in. perch.
