I was wondering... Can anyone give any hints on the presence of northern pike and muskies in the Lake Ontario bays of Jefferson County: Henderson Bay, Black River Bay, and Chaumont Bay? Are they there? Which are the best seasons? I presume spring is best for pike. Am I mistaken?

How do you go about it? What type of lures? Does casting work?

Thanks for any help.

the pike can be easier caught in my opinion. from what i have heard some monster skies get sighted in those bays in the spring but from what hear they leave soon after the spawn and head to the deep water. good luck though.

Do not be afraid to get in shallow for them, almost any stickbait with a bright pattern seems to work. firetiger, solid with silver also. Anywhere in the bays you mentioned along the weed beds.
