Flytying,

I'm not the maker, just the messenger, but I do know this is a new fly series using very fine cut mylar...not flashabou. Since it's a much finer strand of mylar than typically used in flys, it does have flashabou like qualities...but in a reverse tied mylar fly.

Did I say that right Gary ? Hey, I'm just a furniture restorer...lol

I have talked to Gary before about banded materials and slitted mylar in 1/69" and 1/100" widths. He is very knowledegable and we have exchanged many ideas over the phone in regard to those materials as well holographic lure tapes and vinyl cutting machines.

Flytying ( Carl ) ? Yes that is a new banded mylar. Very fine cut and the silicone legs are from another co but the same thing as everyone is using.I like the flashabou the best because it holds up for so many more fish than mylar but this is really nice stuff. Just gives a great look in the water.BW

Hey Gary. I agree with you that Flashabou is more durable on trolling flies than banded mylar trolling fly material. The banded mylar looks so much better on trolling flies than flashabou though. Have you seen these new wild holographic tapes yet?

Tape looks wild Carl. I think if you get the hang of it flashabou looks just as good or better than mylar. We have changed some things on our flashabou and not only do they look great but last so long and work awesome, check these out. They are Flashabou with rubber skirt added to the hillbilly stomper. Flashabou has been on my boat for many years, can say for sure that it catch's fish

I've heard you cut slits in a beer can, put a hook on it & catch fish too.

Pete, that glow green flashabou fly you have pictured was just bad azz last year. Not sure why more guys don't run the flashabou in their spread on lake O ? I know It's huge in Michigan and catches the fish here on lake O just as well . They like less material in their flys over their too. Glow green flashabou is one of the first flys we put down in the morning
