I had a problem with Minn Kota. In a nut shell here was the probelm. I bought a new 65 pd this summer with co-pilot. It had less than 20hrs on it and it took a ^%$#. I took it to the nearest service center for warranty repair. That is Boats Unlimited in Utica. They had it for 36 days yesterday without giving me one phone call to let me know the status of the motor or at least letting me know when it might be.

Well , i finally boiled over and contacted MinnKota themselves. The. man from MinnKota called me today and said he wasnt able to reach Boats Unlimited either so he is sending me a brand new motor from the company. I thought that was pretty good of him. I just thought I would update you all on what went on with that deal.

I wasnt even mad about the motor failing, things happen. But, that is way too long to have it sitting somewhere for repair without a phone call. Im dont think MK is real pleased with BU being an ASC (authorized service center) ;)

Glad to hear you got the problem resolved. I've always had good experiences dealing with MinnKota. I hope their authorized service center gets the axe!
