==================

Excited and looking forward to picking up my boat at ice out. This is my first boat other than a cartopper so I'm hoping that the learning curve will be steep and exciting. Any help will be appreciated. GD is a lund baron 2100. I need to equip my tackle box and am thinking for starters I'll want some dipsy's and flashers. Then again .... what do I know? Any advice on where to start with my inventory will be appreciated.

See you on the wster!

Dennis - Welcome to the board. I'd suggest you do some reading in the next couple weeks in the other threads; get an idea of techniques that keep reappearing as those are ones that work well. Be careful on what you buy as it's awful easy to go "overboard."

CONGRATULATIONS. It should be a enjoyable process getting your ride setup. Unless you have big bucks, dont expect to have her completely rigged overnight. It takes a few years. I still dont have my ride outfitted the way I wanted it, but I am getting there. Have fun and welcome!

Thanks all for your kind welcome. If anyone out there has a chartplotter or advice on what to get (so I can find my way home) I'd appreciate it. Next time I log in I'll look for a thread comparing manufacturers.

A fellow Canuck!

Welcome to LOU. You'll find everything you need here. Sit back, relax and ask tons of questions. Great to have you aboard!

Oh, you can't go wrong with Garmin. I've got a 530 series and wouldn't change for anything.
