T'ing hooks

as a musky fisherman i have t'ed my hooks for years and this year getting ready for trout/salmon trolling i have started t'ing my rapalas and such. i was wondering if other people t there hooks for fish other than muskies?

I remember once I tried to T the hooks out on an size 8 x-rap and broke it! I think we can get away with it on musky lures because the hooks are much larger and thicker. The thinner, smaller hooks could weaken on you some enough to affect performance or even break such as my case. It could also just be that the x-raps have weaker hooks as the lure is made to suspend so they need to be lighter/less strong by default. That is just a guess on my end though……

can't say I've thought about it. but then again I haven't had an issue with hookups on other species. seems muskies and maybe pike-with their boney mouths are the only ones that really need the increase in odds. Just a thought...
