Big Jon Auto Stop or Not

Looking at some new downriggers and wondering if there are any drawbacks to having the auto stop feature? I'm thinking it would be nice when I'm fishing with newbies and the back of the boat gets hectic?

I had auto-stops installed on my brutes, but then I went to braid, wasn't happy with the beads I used on the braid so my auto stops are non functional

However they work flawlessly while running cable and I would highly recommend them !!! Unless you get free trolling weights...
