Wire dipseys for spring time?

Is running wire dipseys not a good idea for this time of year?Do alot of you switch over to mono or braid for this time of year?Just wondering what you guys thought about this.Thanks in advance.

Some guys run wire dipsys all season long.

We use heartland/ sealine combos with 30# power pro ( with flourocarbon leaders ) for the spring flat line trolling and then for dipsys once we head out a bit deeper come June.

Once the fleas come out or when we want to get deeper then the heartland/ sealine 30# seven strand malin wire rigs come out and stay in the boat till fall.

I use my wire dipsey divers all season long. I have a set of mono slide divers for high fish in the water column.
