Webster Pier and Shore Fishing

I'd like to take my son out to the Webster Park Pier, does anyone know if the fishing is good right now?

Are there other shore fishing opportunities around the Rochester area (for any kind of fishing)?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Scoots,

You sure can go down to webster and cast off the pier. Other spots to check out would be Charlotte and iriondeqoit peirs. Throwing stick baits spinners and spoons should produce. You could also throw floats with a jig tipped with spikes. Now is the time to start. Went out this past friday and caught 8 while trolling in less than 10' of water.

Btw, how is the charlotte pier right now? i was thinkin about headin down this week. what would i use?
