WTB 3.8 litre 229 cubic inch Chevrolet Block or engine 1985

looking to buy the above, the boat I bought has a cracked block in it, from the former owner not servicing it properly, I bought the boat in November and was told it was winterized and running. The year these were made from 1980 to 1985, there is a Buick block made in the same years but it's a 231 cubic inch with a different bolt pattern.

Dear Big Gene,

Searched locally (Rochester NY) with the two major engine rebuilders. No 229 cubic inch(3. Chevrolet blocks are available. the block you are looking for came in the 1980 to 1984 V-6 Camaros. All these blocks have the fuel pump boss that you will need for your carb'd engine. I would start searching the bone yards. This block commands PREMIUM $$ because of its short span in the Car production mode and lack of availibilty!!
