Maumee river walleye

Went out to Ohio for some Maumee river walleye run fishing. Wow the run attracts alot of people. Some of thes pics were of last Saturday. If you fish it during the week the crowds are not as bad. I would love to fish it from a boat!! Maybe next year. TD

I fished that run for many years when I lived out there. Wow what good memories and fun I had! My son caught one over 31 inches a few years back. Try Orleans Park in high water, a guy every 2 feet shoulder to shoulder, lines everywhere, tangled up, braided line snags, people falling, boats getting pelted with lead from shore, oh the JOY!

I'm from Ohio, did it once and NEVER again. You didn't go during the peak of the run. Here is more of what it looks like during the peak. FREAK SHOW. Not worth it one bit. better off jumping on a head boat for 30.00 bucks and jiggin the reefs. Thank god I own a boat.

does the season every close down there? reminds me of the salmon river during salmon season.

nope walleye season never closes in Ohio, on any water.
